Block Websties Without Software
This tricks very useful for anyone who don't want their computer being used to access any kind of unwanted site or commonly we called them porn sites, here is some simple way to block any sites you want.
Steps:
- Browse C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
- Find the file named "HOSTS"
- Open it in notepad
- Under "127.0.0.1 localhost" Add 127.0.0.2 www.sitenameyouwantblocked.com , and that site will no longer be accessible.
- Done!
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.2 www.blockedsite.com
-->www.blockedsite.com is now unaccessible<--
For every site after that you want to add, just add "1" to the last number in the internal ip (127.0.0.2) and then the add like before.
IE: 127.0.0.3 www.yahoo.com
127.0.0.4 www.google.com
127.0.0.5 www.hotmail.com

It is not necessary to increment the IP number. You can use either 127.0.0.1 or 0.0.0.0 for any number of URL's you want to block.

Be very careful when editing your "hosts" file. Back it up before you start.
Do not change the first entry. It must say
127.0.0.1 localhost
